Wish I was here today and not in this dreary, rainy weather.  My Dad is in paradise, and I asked him for a pick me up....this is what he sent.

So need a tan.

Birthday Week

Evan and I started a tradition the first year we were married with birthday week.  I think it's hands down the best thing ever invented.  The person whose birthday it is gets little special presents every morning.  So they feel special for the whole week.  Not just the actual birthday.  Since I've been trying to eat better Evan did all healthy little snacks and gifts, which was wonderful of him, but a bummer for me.  I still like my sweets, but know I can't have them...sigh....  Anyway, the Sunday starting birthday week Evan told me we need to clear our schedules for Saturday.  We had a very busy day on Saturday so I was little irritated when he told me this.  So he told me what he had planned, he had booked a room at the Grand America.  Which is basically my dream come true.  I've always wanted to stay there and see what it was like on the inside every since it was built.  Needless to say I was tickled pink and couldn't wait until Saturday came.  So off we went, my parents were awesome and watched the dogs...thank you thank you!!!  Let's just say the room did not disappoint.  It was ENORMOUS.  Overall we had an amazing night with all our friends who came out for my birthday, thank you to everyone!!  And thank you to Evan for spoiling me rotten for my birthday, and my parents as well.  Also to Sharon for spoiling me rotten last night.  I have the best family in the whole world that makes me feel so so special.  So thank you everyone!!!

Rachel, its your birthday!

What can i say about Rachel that hasn't already been said, or that i haven't already blogged about in past birthday blogs. To put it simple she is amazing. Literally nobody cares more about others then Rachel. She wants nothing more then to make everyone happy and turn any situation into a good one. Some people out there think Rachel and I do a lot for them but its literally always Rachel who comes up with the ideas and i just reap the benefits of having the best wife in the world. Let me tell you all a secret, all of the mysteriously kind things Rachel and I do are always her idea. To say that my wife has made me a better person is so much of an understatement. I have told you all before how she has changed my life and made me a better person but she has continued to do this our entire marriage. Nobody brags more about me then her and nobody drives me to be a better person like she does. 

I started a new job this winter that caused me to be out of town a lot, for a lot of relationships out there this would have created a big problem and a lot of fights because it can put a strain on a marriage. But for Rachel she did not bat an eyelash. I’m not sure if she was just happy to see me go, or it was the perfect example of her Mother and Father that she saw growing up, but she learned to be so self sufficient while i was away and for those of you who don’t travel having a wife or girlfriend who doesn't make you feel guilty is a blessing. 

So like i said above; to put it simple, she is amazing. She is still the greatest thing to happen to me and continues to be my personal rocket booster.  

Cuddle

Evan and Alta cuddle all the time.  I'm starting to think she gets a little too much attention ;)  This is proof just from a lazy Sunday.

For those that love Torre, she doesn't like to cuddle like Alta does.  We still do love her, and she is a wonderful dog too.
