Almost 3 Months

Evan and I have almost been married for 3 months, I know I'm jumping the gun here a little. It's officially not until the 9th but I wanted to blog today. Here are some things I learned and love about my husband in the short time we have been married and living together.

He snores, but tries very hard not too.
Will cook me dinner when I have had a terrible day
Will put up with watching girl shows, even though I know he hates it. (But secretly I think he started to like The Bachelor)
Just smiles and nods when I'm sick and freak out about nothing to him.
Will send me texts about how much he loves me that totally make my whole day, and make me cry everytime he sends one.
Always yells Hi Bubba when I get home, it makes me smile everytime
He LOVES Coldstone French Vanilla ice cream
Is trying other alternatives to Totinos (which I am very proud of him for)
Will take the dog out when it's dark outside and I'm paranoid
Will listen to me vent about anything and at the end give me a smile and kiss just because
Is a wonderful fixer (home improvements)
Loves listening to him rap out G-Love and the Special Sauce
How excited he gets when he buys a new X-box game (it's rather adorable)
Will always wear a beanie getting out of the shower so his hair doesn't go curly
Had no idea how curly his hair really is, ringlets anyone? It's amazing and gorgeous
How political issues we can talk about and while I might get fired up, we both can have our opinions and it's totally ok
How great he is when I lock myself out of our house and he will drive back to rescue me even when it is annoying :/
How loving he is with his nieces and nephews
How great he is with our dog, he just loves her and is definitely the favorite out of the two of us. He gets much more puppy kisses then I do.

Overall, he is the most wonderful, caring person in the entire world and I can't believe we have been married 3 months already. It totally doesn't feel that way and I can't wait to see how much more we will find out about each other and more for me to love about him. Ev you are the best!! Love you!

Not Responsible

So I have been putting off getting my car registered. Yes, I'm well aware that it's against the law to drive with expired tags. But I have been trying my luck lately. I don't know why I haven't gotten it registered, just didn't feel like waiting in a greasy, gross Jiffy Lube for half an hour to 45 minutes during the rush time when I get off work. See, to me that isn't my idea of fun. Well, my loving wonderful husband offers to switch cars every now and again. First because we save money when I drive his car because it gets way better gas mileage then my wonderful Xterra. So off I zip to work this morning. 45 minutes later once I'm at work I get a text from my husband telling me he got pulled over for expired tags. Ha, whoops! Sorry honey!! But I guess the cop had a thing for Dodger fans and hot men (yes this was a girl cop) so let my hottie husband go with just a warning. Woo!! Good job babe on looking good! Long story short, my car is now registered thanks to Evan. Evan: 1 Me: -1

Thanks alot Obama

Well everyone can thank Obama for allowing all the hard working people of America to pay out the butt for everyone's health insurance. Congratulations Obama, it's super fair to punish the people working and paying for their own medical insurance when you just offer up Medicaid for any low income families. Do you not understand how much that raises everyone else's insurance when everyone is already paying a crap load to afford health insurance. So glad you're President....oh wait NOT.

Torre

So we have had a very eventful weekend. It all started last Thursday when I made the decision that we needed a puppy. So I found an adorable mini Australian Shepherd on KSL and begged Evan that we needed her. Well after he consented, the puppy was gone. So we kinda took it as a sign that she wasn't the one for us. So we go skiing with my parents all day at Park City and after got an awesome lunch at Red Rock. Evan's recommendation there is the Kobe Burger, he swears it was the best burger he ever had. So we are all sitting there and I notice a PetCo so we all decide to go look at the puppies so this could get out of my system. We walk over and the Humane Society has some dogs there that you can adopt. We walk in and there is the cutest Australian Shepherd that is 4 years old in this tiny crate. We decide to walk her around the store, and she instantly starts giving Evan kisses and long story short we take her home. Now, first of all, if you're reading my blog and you have no heart for animals you can stop reading. People make me literally sick that can just decide one day, hey I'm sick of my animal and don't want them anymore. If I could ever meet this family I could hit every single one of them. It makes me physically ill what they put this poor dog through. She hates being alone now, you can tell she wasn't loved at all, and she is dying for attention. She is 4 years old, and they "claim" that she isn't good around small dogs. Because pretty sure she has been around small dogs all weekend and is perfectly fine. Are you sure that you a-hole family didn't get a new dog and just didn't want an older dog around. Wow, thanks you're all jerks. So for all you people out there that just get sick of your dogs and drop them off, you are heartless jerks. It literally makes me sick that any individual can have that mind set. Dogs can't defend themselves yet a person can decide that they just don't want them. You self-centered people make me physically sick.
Anyways, back to my story. So we bring her home, she is an angel. Is already crate trained, house broken everything. But she has kennel cough from being around other dogs at the shelter that were sick. So the Humane Society said we could bring her in Tuesday to get it treated for free. So we were watching her seeing if it was getting worse, etc. Yesterday I come home from work and she doesn't come running to the door when I open it and she is literally in a daze. I'm looking at her and she is falling asleep standing up. She isn't eating and is super tired. So I call the vet and tell her the symptoms and she said to bring her in. So to the vet all of us go. We get there, poor Torre ends up having a 104 temperature, and pneumonia. Her kennel cough had gotten so bad it had turned into pneumonia. The vet said they needed to keep her overnight to treat her with liquids and get her eating again and make her little body better. It was the saddest thing in the world when we left. She looked at us like we were abandoning her. Hands down saddest night, plus the bill is pretty sad as well. But money doesn't matter when it comes to saving your little dog child. She is so precious, and we got a phone call today saying she is eating again and doing much better. So little Torre gets to come home. It just shows that dogs can only handle so much stress and anxiety. This poor little dog is so confused what is going on. But once she is home and healthy it will only get better!! I will post pictures later when she is feeling better.

Oh the Joys of Cooking

So yes, I'm well aware of all the jokes on how everyone thought I was going to be a terrible cook and that Evan was going to starve blah blah blah. But just for the record, I have cooked numerous times without anyone getting food poisoning. Am I the perfect cook no, of course not. But I also have a wonderful husband who helps me out and cooks some of the nights as well. So Wednesday and Thursday weren't really the highlights of our kitchen. I decided Wednesday to make a quiche. Kerry was talking about it on Sunday and I forgot how much I loved them. So I call up my mom, she is explaining how to do it and how great of an idea it is. I find a recipe and am trying to get it done before Evan gets home from school. So I get everything in the pie crust and plop it in the oven and am just waiting. Evan gets home and is constantly checking the oven, asking when it will be done. So finally the timer goes off after 45 minutes and we pull it out and the top is completely black. So I thought I would just cut the top off and we could salvage it. We cut it open and the mixture is still raw inside!!! Like it's coming out of the little hole we cut. How gross!! So Evan looks at me with his adorable smile and says Wendys? Well, yesterday we were rushing trying to eat dinner quickly seeing that we had very important plans and Evan was being a sweetheart and getting stuff together since I don't get home until 5:45 from work. I pull up to find our front door open, and I can see Evan through the window messing with something. I walk in and he looks so distraught. He starts explaining to me how IKEA has crappy woks and how ours revolted on him and how the pan got stuck to the food and this giant fire ball went shooting through the air. If you have ever heard a story from Evan you can only imagine how energetic and funny they are. Long story short, it smells like the fire department had been in our house, so I look at him and say eating out? So, all in all we are TRYING to eat in and cook, our kitchen just has a hate relationship with us lately. Also we found a giant spider that both of us didn't want to kill. Evan being the hubby of the century did kill it after he chased me with the guts. But yes we have spiders in our house. Shoot dang.

Funny things that make us go HA

So today i was thinking about some funny things in life so here is my list.
1.) When people fall over.
2.) Girls who get all dressed up to go to the bar and then end up throwing up
3.) When my clients tell me anything about their lives.
4.) People who try and get on a chair lift but slip off the front and end up getting pushed by the chair and having to bend over to let it go over them.
5.) Going to concerts and seeing old women wearing their sexiest outfit but it just doesn't really fit anymore.
6.) David Chapelle
7.) White people who think they are rappers.
8.) Red Sox fans who say they have loved them forever but they still have tags on their vintage redsox shirts
9.) The kids at school that have a comment about everything. (before it made me mad, now I’ve given up and i just laugh at them
10.)My Wife’s face when i accidentally break wind.
The End

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Well my wife asked me to put together a list of my pet peeves.

1.) People who don't let others merge while getting on the freeway. Like one car length is going to make you later for work then you already are.
2.) Getting home and finding that your fast food order was messed up.
3.) Refs when they call it a goal, but the puck ended up out of the entire rink. (How does it go through the net!?)
4.) Anything to do with school.
5.) Guys who go to the gym and yell while they lift weights.
6.) Tipping water over in the middle of the night and it dumping all over the clothes you laid out to wear the next day.
7.) Hearing that someone slipped on the ice outside but not being able to see it.
8.) Playing hockey when the whole team only cares about personal achievements.
9.) Anything to do with Barry Bonds, Texas Longhorns, San Francisco Giants, Tim Tebow, The Redsox.
10.) When ESPN put Slam Dunks as number 1 on the top plays of the week.
11.) NFL players who freak out after making a tackle. It's your job people. Next time i get someone Medicaid I’m going to jump over my desk, spin on the floor, and scream in their face.
12.) People who call people with disabilities the R word.

Things that irritate me

Here is a brief list of things that really get under my skin they are in no particular order either.
People that run with their shirts off at the gym. Hello, you are inside and at a gym there is NO reason for this.

Adding to the previous, girls that walk around in sports bras. Thank you for either showing off your inner tube, or your awesome stomach that I wish I had. Thanks really.

People that get in the left lane and go 55

The Post Office in general.

Self check out at the grocery store when it says an attendant needs to help you, but wait there is NO one in sight.

When it rains the day after you wash your car.

When I run out of Diet Coke.

The Bachelor, I hate Jake now.

The scale, who knew marrying a guy with an awesome metabolism would back fire on me?

Not being able to eat Taco Bell, Cafe Rio, and an occasional Burger King without gaining 10 pounds over a weekend.

Kid boogers. (sp?) When they are smeared all over their faces then they want a hug or something, ew.

Little kids that peer over our fence and ask what I'm doing. Clearly little kid I'm walking into my house after a road rage drive down the canyon. And, WHO ARE YOU???? Where are your parents???

yes, these are weird things that bother me and no Evan is not suffering any hardship from my pet peeves. Notice my amazing husband is no where close to being on this list. Sorry people he is perfect. He is the one thing that keeps me sane with all the weirdos out there.
