Try new foods

A big pet peeve of mine is adults not trying new food.  I love sushi, love is an understatement, I'm obsessed with sushi.  Evan thought it looked weird but tried it anyway, and didn't like it.  It drives me nuts when people just say ew I'll never eat that, but have you tried it?  More often then not, they haven't.  I was raised on the three no thank you bite rule.  Even if I didn't like it, I had to have three bites.  Didn't matter what kind of fuss I made, I had to eat it.  I think adults should have this rule like kids too.  Some adults are just dead set in their ways of they WILL not eat something and it makes no logical sense.  Just try it, who knows you could find your new favorite food.  Granted I understand if your body will just not handle certain foods.  I can't eat a lot of red meat or dairy.  Some people just have weird things about them.  But don't say no just because you think it looks weird.

On that note though, did you know Whole Foods sells their soups in bulk?  It was a magical afternoon of soup bliss.

Happy Friday!

I have to disagree with you on this one. I am definitely more willing to try things as an adult, than I was as a child. But I am also acutely more aware of what I don't like. For instance I for sure can't stand fish. I shall not me trying all different kinds to see if I can find one I like, and certainly will not be taking multiple bites!!! lol. BARF. But I do encourage my kids to try things. While I won't make them take multiple bites of something they don't like, I will reintroduce the same thing another time and see if I can get them to eat it then.

I remember when Evan was like 4 years old maybe. We went to England on vacation. Basically I think my mum packed cans of spaghetti o's with us because he was on a spaghetti O diet pretty much all the time. It's all he would eat. And see .. he turned out okay. :o)
