You know the old saying, time flies when you're having fun? Well our summer has been a blur, a giant blur. Gone are the days of sleeping in until noon, wake up eat frozen Costco taquitos for breakfast/lunch, watch some sleezy reality TV, then head to your crappy mall job. In case anyone was wondering that literally was my life. This summer we have done more then any summer Evan and I have been together. It's been crazy fun. From camping to hiking, and non-stop adventures with friends, we have been kept on our toes. It has taken away from the internally countdown to the trip of the lifetime we have had planned since January.
This trip all started with Evan on a whim booking a cruise. He is an impulse buyer, he will deny this but he is. We booked the trip and then looked at each other and said well I guess we'll be having fun in 9 months from now. Well that 9 months has FLOWN by, and now we leave within 3 weeks for our amazing trip. I am so excited to meet all my new family, (Sharon I might still need those flash cards). And to embark on this adventure with Evan. Normally all vacations never go according to plan with us, so I'm expecting many things to go wrong with how long we'll be gone. Overall our countdown has gone from triple digits down to double, soon to be single. I am so happy to have a great husband who is willing to save our butts off to afford this and then make it happen. It's been quite the whirlwind between my 4 jobs over the last 4 months and figuring out how to get the time off, but like always things happen for a reason and I have an awesome employer who was excited for me to go on this vacation.
As a side note, if everyone can keep Evan in their thoughts this Friday he has made it to the next step on his long journey of becoming a police officer. He is taking a test for this stage of the process. I know he'll do great, but if you could just wish him luck that would be awesome!

I am sure you will have an awesome trip, one full of great memories! I am rqually confident that Evan did well on his test. For all the teasing, you are pretty well rounded (getting a little rounder all the time..living the good life!)I have personal reservations about the police officer bit, but how else should a Mum react to her baby going into what could be a scary profession!
I'm so jealous over your trip. Can't wait to do it myself one day.
Mom- The last time an Officer of Salt Lake City died was in 2001, the one before that was 1982. There has also only been 22 who have died in the entire history of the Salt Lake City Police Department. In the top 15 most dangerous jobs, things like: electricians, garbage men, pilots, and fisherman all rank higher then police by far. Would you rather I be a garbage man and have a better chance of dying? :)
No fair. I didn't want you to walk at 8 months, but you did....I knew early on that you were not going to be held down!
Go for it...but know I care!
