Weekly doings...

I hosted my first shower last weekend.  The maid of honor lives out of town so I offered to host at my house, which all the new projects done.  YAY!  Rach made these awesome cake pops, and Kiera found these amazing mini bottles of champagne and brought awesome decorations.  All together it went pretty smoothly.  Here are some pictures

This is where the mimosa bar was.  We had 3 different kinds of juice, and then fruit garnish to add.

A better look at the mini bottle of champagne.

Here are the pastries we had, along with the awesome cake pops

Here is most of the food, we had mini quiches, a french toast soufflé, fruit salad, a regular green salad, choices of syrup, and punch.  All of it had little cards with the description.

All together I think it went pretty well, I have a lot of leftovers.  No one ate very much haha.  I think everyone knows about Evan having to get stitches.  He was moving our toilet back into the bathroom we were redoing on his day off.  (He gets weird days off since he works most weekends, so this was a Monday).  He calls me on my way home asking if I was almost home, to which I replied not really. We have a 35 minute commute, and he informed me he would meet me at instacare then.  He had installed the toilet and the screws weren't fitting, so when he went to lift the toilet back out it was much heavier since the water had refilled in it and that's when he slipped and dropped it.  Somehow, when the toilet shattered it cut his arm open pretty bad.  When he got to instacare, and when I came screaming down the canyon hearing that he was at instacare the nurse was laughing at us because we are quite a sight to see.  I have a broken foot and now he is getting stitches.  This is the exact reason why we don't need kids.  We are plenty busy without them.  I think he gets his stitches out this week, so he lived through the ordeal.

He was such a trooper, telling the nurse and doctor jokes.  Typical Evan.

And just for fun, this is where Alta sleeps while we are at work all day.  I managed to sneak upstairs when I came home, because Torre literally sleeps by the door waiting for us to get home.  Alta could literally care less when we came home.  And this is why.....

This is our bed, with all the pillows on it and yes she is sleeping smack dab in the middle of it all.
She might be a bit spoiled.

If I get married again you can throw my shower .. I never had one. That's what happens when you elope the first time and then wait until your 30's to do it again. haha

I laughed out loud, quite literally when you pointed out what a mess you guys looked with your boot and his stitches. I hadn't thought about that.

Lastly, does it bother you that your dog doesn't wipe her but when she poo's and she's sleeping on your pillow? HAHAAAA
