Two A Days

Well, so far we haven't missed a work out.  And of course this means if we decide to be lazy, like for instance a Friday or Monday night...that means the next day we have to do two work outs.  We both have vowed that we wouldn't do it again since the last time we had to do two work outs, because let's be honest, it's not fun.  It's completely exhausting.  But Monday, we had an extra laziness about us.  It could have been all the garbage we ate for superbowl Sunday.  Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but it made us so tired.  It's interesting when you aren't used to putting food like that into your body how it reacts.  I get super sick now if I eat anything fast food.  Which is ultimately a good thing, but when you really want french fries it sucks to devour some just to be sick an hour later.  Yesterday we had to do two work outs since we had the lazy bug on Monday.  Now with P90 it's muscle confusion.  So we went from an intense work out for the first 3 weeks to more of a mellow core building work out, or so I thought "mellow".  Let's be honest, there isn't a "mellow" work out in P90.  If some people haven't heard, Evan and I aren't exactly the most flexible people.  There is yoga piece to P90 and we both hate it.  We did the work out with my parents, and let's just say my Mom was laughing at us.  She is freakishly flexible and loves pilates, yoga anything to do with bending un natural directions.  So, Evan and I have decided we are going to run a half marathon at the end of April, which will also be about the time we finish all these P90 work outs.  So instead of the nights we are supposed to do yoga we have been running.  We both greatly prefer this over an hour and a half of torture.  Last night with our two work outs, it was supposed to be yoga Monday and core last night.  So that meant the second I got home we went for a 4 mile run on top of coming home to do core synergetics.  Can I just say exhausting?  But what's interesting is I haven't ever done a "core" work out and it was super hard.  You are working muscles you had no idea you had.  So this "mellow" week isn't exactly turning out too mellow.  Also I think Evan has become the healthiest eater in the world.  He made the suggestion for dinner last night, and informed me that we needed to start eating smaller portions.  Go husband!

I would like to add a side not to all of this, while I'm thinking Evan has been eating smaller portions he just admitted to having McDonalds on his way home last night before we worked out and had dinner.  So basically the smaller portion was just for me.  Boo.

I don't envy the two a days. I skipped my training session at the weekend in leau of gorging on Superbowl Sunday food. That meant I had to run on Monday and Tuesday to make up for the day I missed. Let's just say Tuesday was rough!

Keep up the good work!
