Valentine's Day

Evan has an excellent track record when it comes to Valentines Day.  He always has something up his sleeve that he tends to pull out that I had no idea he could even plan that.  Let's start from when we first started dating.
2009, we both worked at Solitude and both had terrible lessons the whole day.  His lesson wasn't as miserable and he left about half an hour before I did and he said he would come pick me up so we could go to his hockey game.  I didn't get home until maybe 10 minutes before he was supposed to be there, so I threw on some sweats and a beanie and got a text saying his car was full with all his friends so we would all have to squish.  This wasn't my ideal plan, don't get me wrong I love Evan's friends but having to spend Valentines Day in the car wasn't my dream setting.  So while I'm having a pity party, eating spicy Cheetos with my room mates, he gets to my house and knocks on the door.  My room  mate answers and just busts up laughing and walks off.  I walk up to the door to find Evan, in a suit, with roses and presents, by himself.  I have Cheeto fingers, in sweats, and a hat looking like a bag lady and speechless.  Needless to say, I start stuttering out phrases like, maybe I should shower, I don't want to hug you I have Cheeto fingers, etc.  Evan was quick to announce he made reservations for us at a restaurant and I didn't have time to shower and we needed to leave.  So yes, I went to Epic in my beanie and sweat attire.  Needless to say Evan got a huge kick out this while I was embarassed but had an amazing dinner.
2010, First month married and we had been skiing all day to come home and wanting to relax.  He told me I needed to get ready and was kind of rushing me which never goes well because then I get frustrated.  I finally was ready and we take off to our dinner reservation.  I never have any clue what his plan is, so I just sit and wait to find out.  He pulls up to Tuscany, which is where we had gotten married a month earlier.  Of course the hostess recognized us, which I honestly have no idea how and we really had an amazing dinner and a great Valentines Day.
2011, Needless to say every year was gotten progressively better.  This year we decided to celebrate for the whole weekend.  Great plan right?  So we went to Rodizio for dinner Friday night and had a fantastic dinner, on Saturday we went to an afternoon movie and made chocolate covered strawberries and had a lounge day and Sunday we went on a 2 hour walk with our dogs and just enjoyed being together for the whole weekend with no plans or agendas.  So I figured Monday would just be another day, not in Evan's world.  Evan alternates 4 10 shifts every other week.  So this week was his 10 hour shifts, reasoning for celebrating on Friday and going to dinner.  Well I pull up to our home, and his car is there.  I'm completely confused, and I walk in and Evan has flowers and candies on the table for me and is making me an awesome dinner.  He is hands down the most romantic guy ever.  Plus, an awesome cook.  I think from now on he is going to be doing the cooking at our house :)  Overall,  he is Mr. Romantic when I least expect it and is so thoughtful into what he plans and what we do that it means so much more.

I love you Evan!
