Post Cleanse
Well, needless to say I didn't make the whole week. I was doing really good the first 4 days, then I got to the meat day. My Mom even helped me out by making a high protein meatloaf for me, hoping it would help me get the 20oz. I needed. I made it through half of the meat day and ended it. What was interesting though, I didn't crave chips or sweets. Those are my downfall. I try to keep no junk food in the house when Evan is out of town because then I have no accountability while he is gone. Evan really tries to eat healthy with me so I'm not tempted. Needless to say though, my running did have to take the back seat. I tried running on the first day, fruit day. I run with each dog individually because it's too hard to run with Torre. So while I was doing my second loop with Alta, I got crazy light headed and started blacking out. And since Evan wasn't home, I don't really have an option of someone taking care of me so I decided to just skip it that week. I did however lose 5 pounds, I wasn't expecting life changing results just a better outlook of eating better. I am happy to say that I haven't eaten anything bad for me, and now get the healthier alternative at restaurants when I'm out. It's hard, and there are days when I want to eat something bad. But as Evan put it into perspective for me, "if being skinny was easy, everyone would be" It does take handwork to get weight off, and dedication. There can't really be off days, or binge days. If you do, then expect to do a 9 mile run that day because calories add up quickly. I'm extremely thankful during my week of constant encouragement from Evan and my Mom asking if she can help with different menu ideas. I needed all the help I could get, it was rough. What is fun even though I did end the cleanse early, I've still kept the weight off and have continued to lose more. So hopefully I'll be at my goal by the time swimsuit season rolls around again!
