So my next stop on my tour of Colorado was Crested Butte and this is a little ski town in Southern Colorado. This is one of my favorite places to travel to in Colorado because its pretty small but still a lot of fun. It's a total ski town without all the high rise hotels and fancy restaurants. My hotel was right off main street, it didn't even have a tv in the room so I walked down to main street to get dinner on my first night. Here are some pictures of downtown Crested Butte.

The next day I had off so I took a day to ski around and see some of the mountain. It was really hot so the snow felt like you were skiing on mashed patatoes.
This run is the reason I wear a helmet every day. Crested Butte is known for some of the steepest and gnarliest terrain, and this little run was no different. With the poor snow we have had this season it was covered in rocks that are usually covered with snow, so it was a little dicey but really exciting to try something like this for a few runs. The first picture is about 1/3 of the way down. The second picture is from the bottom.

Bellow is a picture of the Town of Crested Butte from the top of the ski resort. Really pretty views

Here is what the mountains look like at 6 in the morning. The reason Ramp sent me there was because we sponsor a series of music festivals called Festevol.
After the demo I was given VIP tickets to the concert. Were we got free food and beer all night, while we watched Barenaked Ladies and Guster. I was actually fortunate enough to ski with the lead singer of Barenaked ladies Ed Robinson and his family, they are from Canada and really good skiers. Here is how the concert looked.
All in all it was a great stop. Next i will be in Dillon Colorado for a few days until i get home to my smoking hot wife who has been slaving over the dogs for the past 2 weeks. Rachel does such an amazing job when i'm gone. She rarely complains and takes care of everything at the house. She really is the best wife in the world.
